1st Place: The Greyhound Room, Amado, AZ, Chef Charles Deeby and staff. Recipe: Yucatan-inspired “Chile Fiesta” using five meats including roasted beef filet and pork butt with “scorpion chili.”
2nd Place: Cocina La Ley Restaurant, Nogales, AZ, Lourdes, Anna, and Herman Larios with Bruno Padilla. Recipe: “Pork Carnitas with Chile Beans.”
3rd Place: Nogales High School Culinary Arts, Instructor Marisela Para, Octavio Pimienta, Carlos Valenzuela, Alain Legglew, Dave Rivera, Gerardo Tabarez. Recipe: “Beef Brisket Chilis Apaches.”
